Wilderness
Not space
Not vegetation
Not even isolation
But the arid starvation
of ideas and inspiration
The place where creativity
is stifled
and it is impossible
to imagine
a way out
or a way back.
Where all is monochrome
devoid of colour or variety.
Where the temptation is
to throw in the towel
and call it quits.
But, one step at a time
there is a path through
and a way out.
